Why did I choose STEM?

I chose this strand because my main goal is to be a commercial pilot, and I first want to study aeronautical engineering and become an expert. After that, I’ll study aviation to attain my main goal of becoming a commercial pilot.

Why should you become a pilot?

Becoming a pilot makes you smarter. You’ll gain knowledge that you never thought you would need to know. You’ll become a better planner, a logical decision-maker, and a meteorologist. You’ll learn good resource management, how to be patient and how to operate safely, with a sense of urgency. Great pilots use strong verbal communication skills to convey information clearly, effectively, and concisely. Pilots must be able to remain calm and collected, especially in emergency situations. Even when the unexpected occurs, good pilots are able to think clearly and stay focused on flying the plane.
